Tuttosport claims the parties are getting closer to reaching an agreement over a new deal at San Siro, as his current deal expires in June 2021.

The newspaper reports the parties have scheduled for a new meeting at Casa Milan tomorrow, when the player’s representatives will see if there’s a possibility of reaching an agreement.

Calhanoglu’s contract is currently worth €3.5m a year and Calciomercato.com reported yesterday that the attacking midfielder could be willing to accept a bumper new deal at €4.5m a season.

The outlet claimed he previously demanded €6m a year to stay at Milanello, where the 26-year-old has played 17 competitive games so far in 2020-21.

He has contributed five goals and five assists across all competitions this term.
