There is good news for Inter, as Hakan Calhanoglu and Nicolò Barella are in the squad against Hellas Verona, while Romelu Lukaku and Marcelo Brozovic hope to face Milan in the Supercoppa.

The Nerazzurri take to the field on Saturday at 19.45 GMT at San Siro to resume their Serie A campaign.

Coach Simone Inzaghi has Barella and Calhanoglu back in the team, but the Italian is likely to be rested due to that muscular issue he sustained in the 2-2 draw with Monza.

Lukaku and Brozovic remain on the treatment table, although they are back in training and hope to make their comeback against Milan in the Supercoppa Italiana on Wednesday January 18.

Inzaghi is expected to rotate the squad following the midweek extra time Coppa Italia victory over Parma, with Milan Skriniar, Francesco Acerbi, Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco returning to the starting XI.

Lautaro Martinez and Edin Dzeko are again the candidates to lead the attack in the absence of Lukaku, who has an inflammation of the knee.
