Siena striker Emanuele Calaio would consider a return to previous club Napoli, his agent has commented.

The 30-year-old left the Azzurri for the Tuscans in a €3m deal in 2008, but he’s been linked with the outfit as they search for an Edinson Cavani back-up.

“Emanuele is very happy in Siena, but he would evaluate an important offer if it arrived,” the player’s brother Umberto Calaio, who is also his agent, stated.

“There is a feeling between him and Napoli, but we will have to wait until Christmas to see if my client could move to another club.

“If Napoli came knocking then we wouldn’t be able to turn them down.”

The striker has scored four goals in 13 games so far this season for the Bianconeri.

Siena insisted yesterday that the Italian would not be sold mid-season.
