“Joe Hart is a world-class goalkeeper, with considerable experience from both Manchester City and the English national team, where among other things he made his debut at the very young age of 21,” Cairo noted on Toro’s official website.

"Being able to sign him is a source of great satisfaction for us, and is testament to our ambition to build a stronger and more competitive team.

"As always, that will be determined on the pitch but we certainly didn't hesitate for a single second in taking the opportunity to do a deal with Manchester City.

"Hart, in addition to his talent, bring humility and the enthusiasm of someone who knows that every day your space as a starter is under question, the same motivation he urges from all his teammates.

"So, for that reason, and on behalf of the entire club, I'm pleased to offer Joe a warm welcome. Welcome to Torino, and always Forza Toro!"
