The Sardinians lost to a Cengiz Under strike, but protested when VAR was not used to view a last-ditch Aleksandar Kolarov tackle on Diego Farias and stoppage-time Gerson nudge on Leonardo Pavoletti.
“We wanted to put in a performance that was up to the right standard and we undoubtedly achieved that,” Passetti told Mediaset Premium.
“There were two dubious incidents, the second I think even more. I believe the second incident was a penalty and the player said he felt a push.
“We have an innovative technology at our fingertips, which is improving the quality of this league, but it’s a real shame when it isn’t used in dubious incidents like this. We’re gambling with our lives here.
“We can’t figure out why it wasn’t used straight away. We have the technology, so use it. It happened to us before, as against Juventus the Federico Bernardeschi handball wasn’t checked on VAR. It is important to use the technology to give credibility.
“A point or two can change our lives here. It’s also a form of respect to at least consult the available technology.”
