Cagliari built their own stadium, the Is Arenas, which had numerous security problems, failed checks repeatedly and is now due to be torn down.

However, this evening it emerged that Cagliari are in talks to come back to the Stadio Sant’Elia, which will see them return to playing their football in Sardinia.
“The only condition is the safety of the stadium,” explained Lega Serie A director general Marco Brunelli.
“We also reaffirmed the club can change the stadium it registered with in pre-season. What really is impossible is to take it game by game the way they did last season with the Is Arenas.”
