Cagliari defender Nicola Murru is out for at least six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
The player dislocated the collateral lateral ligament in his left knee.
During the operation at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome, the ligament was reattached to the head of the fibula.
A note released by Cagliari confirmed the surgery was a success and Murru is expected to be back in approximately 45 days.
