Gianluca Festa says he'd like to keep coaching Cagliari into next season, whilst discussing the game with Cesena.
The 46-year old picked up the team on April 21 after the resignation of Zdenek Zeman, but by then it was too late and the team walk into today's game with no hopes of escaping relegation.
“I wanted to call up the players who were in the best condition, and I'll try fielding the best possible XI,” he said. “These are important games for everyone, myself included.

“I want to give it my all, but my future is linked to the team's results, just like everybody else.
“I'd certainly like to keep coaching Cagliari next season, but I'm content with the opportunity I've been given. Evaluating the season as a whole is not down to me.
“I could join another team, too. In this kind of career, you've got to make the most of every chance you get.
“I'm pleased by the affection the people have shown me, it's because they understand that we've done our absolute best.
“I take my responsibilities and so does my staff, but we've been giving this campaign our complete dedication and the supporters understand that.
“Our defeat to Palermo was painful to bear and after it I spoke as a supporter,” he said, in reference to his bitter comments about the Rossoblú's relegation.
“On Tuesday, the day after the game, morale wasn't too high. But now it's time to turn a new page.
“Those who take to the pitch must give it their all. We're playing against a team that's already been relegated but will not give up.
“There will be something new in the formation, but that's something I'd like to brief my players about first.
“I don't want to exploit the misfortune of others. We're not interested in remaining in Serie A thanks to other teams being penalised.”
