Cagliari have been granted the first bit of good news in months regarding their stadium situation, as modification work on Is Arenas is approved.

The club have spent the 2012-13 season in a state of uncertainty since moving to the ground last summer, and once more had to play a number of ‘home’ games at neutral stadiums.

However, the club have been handed some promising news regarding using the stadium next season, with authorities provisionally approving modification work.

Cagliari’s plans to renovate the ground have been considered in general and seen as applicable to regulations.

This work, which is said to be focused on fans’ access via one side of the ground and arranging space for disabled spectators, must be completed before Is Arenas can be considered fit for use once more.
