It’s claimed Lecce director Mauro Meluso met with Yilmaz’s agent today in Istanbul to confirm the player wants this move, so negotiations will continue on Tuesday.

The Turkish Super Lig outfit are in financial difficulty and could be forced to part with one of their most prolific players, who has 24 goals in 56 caps for his country.

The 34-year-old scored 16 times in 22 appearances for Besiktas and has attracted the interest of Lazio in the past.
