Juventus will do the business for new boss Antonio Conte, says goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.
Conte replaced Luigi Del Neri this summer and Buffon knows all about the tactician given that they were former teammates in Turin.
"We'll bring happiness not just to the fans and directors, but also our Coach, who was a cherished teammate," Buffon stated.
"Alessandro Del Piero and I thought extremely highly of him when we played together, for the example that he set on the pitch. Conte being here provides another boost."
How Juve will line up under the Coach is an intriguing question, as he's played with a 4-2-4 in the past.
"As with all the teams who want to be competitive I think that balance will be essential," the Italian international added.
"This, however, can also be found when attacking in numbers, by the defenders and the central midfielders making the right movements and managing to cover for a player who has committed himself forward."
The Turin giants have struggled over the last 24 months after finishing seventh in Serie A for two consecutive campaigns.
"There's a great desire to redeem ourselves," the World Cup winner underlined. "The facts state that in the last two years there have been six stronger sides than Juventus.
"This needs to be the first motivation to find character and the desire to get back to being competitive, showing that we've been unfortunate in the last two years, in which a lot of problems have piled up."
