Bruno Fernandes noted the difficulty of marking Andrea Pirlo and remembered a certain Antonio Di Natale wonder goal.

The 27-year-old Manchester United star spent the first five years of his professional career in Italy, playing for Novara, Udinese and Sampdoria. He made 119 Serie A appearances in total, scoring 15 goals and providing 14 assists, making it the competition he holds his highest number of appearances in.

Doing a Q&A on Twitter today, Fernandes first answered which shows were his favourite on Netflix. “Suburra and Last Dance.” He said. Suburra is an action packed show set in Rome surrounding three young criminals.

When asked which goal was the best he’d seen live, one in particular stood out. “Antonio di Natale – Udinese vs Chievo Verona.” He noted.

Finally, when asked which player was the best he’s faced in his career, he highlighted that “the toughest to mark was Andreas Iniesta or Andrea Pirlo.”

Following his time in Italy, Fernandes moved to Sporting in 2017, where he found his true level of quality, earning a move to Manchester United after two-and-a-half years in Portugal.
