“I think tonight you have to give Brescia credit for forcing Inter to play badly with their tactical organisation and spirit. We had to keep attacking and play positive football, as you cannot come to San Siro only to defend.
“Considering the way the game had developed, I think we could've won. There is a sense of bitterness, as we could've got all three points.”
The Rondinelle were coming off five consecutive defeats, but threatened to defeat Inter in the Lombardy derby.
“Certainly before kick-off we'd have been happy with a draw, but we played in an organised fashion and if we had won then we wouldn't have stolen anything,” said President Gino Corioni.
“You cannot deny the difference in quality between the teams, but the truth is that penalty decided the result.”
Goalkeeper Michele Arcari was also critical of the referee for that spot-kick.
“Considering the way the draw was decided, we are disappointed.”
