“For him Napoli comes first and then the Nazionale. Conte’s choice was normal in calling Riccardo Montolivo instead, as there is a hierarchy in place,” agent Joao Santos told Radio Crc.
“I don’t know if the Italy staff contacted Napoli, but generally they do call players under observation to tell them a call is imminent.
“As things stand he is first choice at Napoli and is relaxed. An international call will come eventually, whether it’s from Italy or Brazil, either way will be a boost.
“Gilmar Rinaldi, the co-ordinator at the Brazil side, confessed to me they are following Jorginho’s progress and really like him.
“My client is at the disposal of whoever wants him. I am Brazilian, so naturally I’d like him to play for Brazil, but I do not know his personal preference.”
