However, the director ruled out an imminent move for the Italy Under-21 international, as they already have ‘sufficient’ options.

“Bernardeschi? I travelled to Basel because I’m friends with the sporting director who is interested in some of our youngsters,” Braida told Radio Anch’io lo Sport.
“Bernardeschi is a valuable young player, a talent, he’s a respected footballer. But at the moment we don’t need him, we have a sufficient number of players in that role.
“Young Italians for Barcelona? There are few players of a great level. Having to make a choice in Italy, there are maybe two or three.”
