Brahim Diaz is expected to fly in for his Milan medical over the next 24 hours, but it’s just a loan from Real Madrid, without option to buy.

The deal was meant to be a loan with option to buy and a counter-option in favour of the Spanish giants.

According to Sky Sport Italia this evening, that has now changed.

It’ll be a dry loan for one season, then the clubs will meet later on to discuss potential options and counter-options.

That would make it similar to the agreement Milan struck with Eintracht Frankfurt for Ante Rebic, who swapped places with Andre Silva for two seasons.

The 21-year-old creative midfielder only joined Real Madrid for €17m from Manchester City in January 2019.

He made just 10 competitive appearances for the Merengues last term, most of them off the bench, but still scored one goal and provided one assist.
