Italy Under-21 international Fabio Borini is out for the rest of the season after dislocating his shoulder in Liverpool-Swansea.

The former Roma striker collided with Kyle Bartley and fell awkwardly during a 5-0 victory this afternoon.

He had only been on the field for around eight minutes when Bartley fell on to his left arm.

“He will probably be out for the season, it looks like he’s dislocated his shoulder,” manager Brendan Rodgers told reporters.
“It’s unfortunate because it’s the other shoulder, he had the same injury at Chelsea. It looks like, early stages, that that’s the diagnosis.”

Borini has had bad luck with injuries, as he broke his foot earlier this term and was out for three months.

He should, however, be fit enough for the Under-21 European Championship in June.
