Chelsea striker Fabio Borini, who helped Swansea into the Premiership, has agreed a five-year deal with Parma.
"We are very close to completing the transfer of Borini," said Parma director general Pietro Leonardi. "It is only a matter of details before we wrap up the move."
Borini will be able to leave Chelsea on a free transfer after refusing to extend his contract which runs out this summer.
Meanwhile, his agent insists that his switch to Parma is all wrapped up and explained why he missed the Swansea promotion party.

"Fabio is returning to Italy on a five-year agreement," said Marco De Marchi. "Parma have given Fabio a very good contract.
"He's a great player. He'd already signed before the play-off Final so it wasn't possible to have a rethink and stay with Swansea.
"Sadly, he was unable to be with the squad at the parade because he was going away with Italy's Under-21s for a tournament in France.
"But he wrote a letter saying thank you to all his teammates. The club will always be in his heart."
Borini, 20, joined Chelsea in 2007 from Bologna as a teenager.
