Giacomo Bonaventura’s agent says his client will definitely be leaving Atalanta this summer.

The 24-year-old enjoyed a good season for La Dea, with his performances seeing him continuously linked to some of Italy’s bigger clubs, most notably Fiorentina.

However, speaking to Radio Blu today the agent did not want to comment on the Viola’s reported interest, insisting that a lot of details remain unresolved.

“Last season we decided to stay in Bergamo for another year in order for him to continue his development,” Giacondo Martorelli said.

“Now we have decided, with the same thing in mind, that it is time to move on.

“Giacomo will be part of the national team from September onwards, he doesn’t feel bad about his omission from the World Cup squad.

“Fiorentina? I’m not responding to that, we are in a period of time when it’s best not to comment on these rumours.

“We still need to see how much the club would be willing to invest to satisfy Montella during the transfer market.

“A lot depends on Cuadrado too. If Fiorentina can’t reach an agreement with Udinese about him, the two clubs will have to share the money from his sale if it happens.”
