Bologna have confirmed midfielder Mattias Svanberg will be out for approximately a month after a left thigh strain.
The Swede limped off during last week’s 3-0 home defeat to Genoa.
A statement released this afternoon by the club confirmed the diagnosis of a semitendinosus lesion to the left thigh.
The recovery time is expected to be three to four weeks.
It is a blow for the 21-year-old, who has made 16 competitive appearances for Bologna this season.
