Bologna have intimated that Federico Agliardi will be promoted to first choice goalkeeper after the sale of Jean-Francois Gillet.

The latter has now joined Torino which means the Stadio Dall’Ara outfit have a decision to make for 2012-13.

“We’ll hold a meeting on Monday to discuss our options in goal,” President Albano Guaraldi told the Resto del Carlino.

“Chievo ‘keeper Stefano Sorrentino? He’s an interesting name, but we have Agliardi who is a player that made sure Gillet wasn’t missed last season when called upon.”

The 29-year-old joined Bologna in 2011 after two years with Padova. He made 10 Serie A appearances last term, as well as two in the Italian Cup.
