Bologna director Marco Di Vaio said they will “discuss” January offers for Andrea Ranocchia and Giuseppe Rossi.

The Rossoblu have been revitalised since Roberto Donadoni replaced Delio Rossi, amassing 13 points in six Serie A games.

“It wasn’t just one element, but we did find the right path with the Coach,” Di Vaio told Sky Sport Italia.

“Our squad was put together in the final days of the summer transfer market. We’ll meet with Donadoni and the club after tonight’s Empoli game to set out the first plans.

“We will evaluate what we need to whittle down some defects and secure safety, which is hugely important for us.”

Bologna have been linked with loan deals for Inter defender Ranocchia and Fiorentina striker Pepito Rossi.

“Historically Bologna has been a place where players who seemed to be at the end of their careers were suddenly revitalised, including myself,” added Di Vaio.

“Ranocchia and Rossi are two players going through a difficult moment.”
