Bologna have decided to break off the training retreat early, as it had been planned to run until December 23.

The squad was placed into the lockdown to help them focus after a 5-1 home defeat to Roma, in which all five goals were conceded before half-time.

Following last night’s comeback from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at Spezia, even seeing a last-gasp penalty saved, coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, the club and players decided to interrupt the training retreat.

They will therefore be allowed to go home and spend time with their families before this weekend’s Serie A game against Torino.

There are still injuries to contend with for Nicola Sansone, Lukasz Skorupski, Riccardo Orsolini, Jerdy Schouten, Andreas Skov Olsen, Ibrahima Mbaye and Federico Santander.
