Bologna are leading the chase to sign Jean-Francois Gillet after Bari were relegated to the Italian Second Division.

The Belgian is of interest to numerous sides across the peninsula, but it seems as if the Stadio Dall'Ara outfit are in pole position for his signature.

"I'm waiting to find out my destiny," the custodian noted. "All of the projects which have been offered to me are interesting, but Bologna have moved with decision."

Gillet has been on Bari's books since September 2000 and he's been at the club ever since – apart from a loan spell at Treviso in 2003-04.

The 32-year-old has also received offers from Serie B side Torino, plus top-flight outfits Palermo and Siena.
