Alexis Saelemaekers could be on the way out of Milan this summer and Bologna have emerged with serious interest in the Belgian.

The 24-year-old winger featured often under Stefano Pioli last season, seeing over 1800 minutes of action, but only made 14 Serie A starts.

The arrivals of new signings like Christian Pulisic and Samuel Chukwueze has left little space in the Milan squad for Saelemaekers, who was not part of the squad for the 2023-24 season opener against Bologna.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Real Betis have been interested in picking up Saelemaekers for some time but now Bologna have entered the fray, wanting to secure a deal for the Belgian before the transfer window closes next week.

It’s not an easy deal for the Rossoblu considering the high costs, but they’re keen to try regardless, wanting to bolster Thiago Motta’s frontline.

Last season, Saelemaekers scored four goals and provided three assists in 39 total appearances for Milan.
