Bologna have snapped up NAC Breda striker Sydney van Hooijdonk, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The 21-year-old had also been linked with Udinese, but it seems as if the son of Pierre van Hooijdonk is heading towards Serie A for the Stadio Dall’Ara instead.

It’s reported he has agreed personal terms for a five-year contract and will have his medical over the next few days.

He is a free agent after his contract with NAC Breda ran down.

Van Hooijdonk scored 16 goals with two assists in 31 games for the club in the Dutch second division this season.

Bologna are also on the verge of bringing in Marko Arnautovic, as coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has repeatedly asked for reinforcements in attack.
