Lecce boss Serse Cosmi has applauded his club for the January capture of Bulgarian international Valeri Bojinov.

The striker returns to the outfit where he first caught the eye after a loan deal was agreed with Sporting Lisbon.

“I’m very happy with the arrival of Bojinov,” the former Perugia tactician told Premium Calcio.

“He’s still young, but has a long career behind him already – also with some very important clubs.

“I think that returning to Lecce could stimulate him, help him to become the great player again that we admired in the past.”
