The Bird's Nest stadium in Beijing will host the Italian Super Cup for three years after the Lega Calcio of Serie A reached an agreement with Chinese organisers.

Lazio and Inter played out the first ever Super Cup to be held at the Bird's Nest in 2009 and it was said to be a great commercial success for the Italian football brand.

The Lega Calcio of Serie A has been in talks with Chinese organisers United Vansen International Sports in an effort to make the event happen again.

A Press Conference was held at the Italian Institute of Culture in Beijing earlier today to announce that the basis of an agreement to host three Super Cups at the Birds Nest has been found.

Chinese TV has shown two or more games from Serie A for the last 32 years and there is a big following for the Italian game in Asia.
