"It would have made sense to bring Roberto if you believe in him, if he is one of the many, it's better for him to stay at home," Bigon explained to Sky Sport Italia.

Bologna coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has been linked with a few top clubs, including Juventus. Will he stay at Bologna next season?

"That's a good question, we extended his contract at the beginning of the season, we are working together and planning the future. We have no doubt, the coach is part of the project, that's our idea," Bigon said.

What does he make of the Rossoblu's campaign?

"The gap with the top seven clubs is huge, but I think we can reduce it. It's hard to stay up there, but never say never in football. We are on the right path."

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been linked with a move away from Bologna and several top clubs are reportedly interested in securing his services. Will he leave Bologna?

"We are lucky because our President doesn't put pressure on us to sell players. Young and strong footballers always attract interest. We are not in a hurry to sell, and we can decide how much we can invest depending on who will leave.

"We'll pick the right offers in the summer, with serenity and without pressure."
