Lazio will meet Lucas Biglia’s agent this week to offer him a bumper €3m per season contract, say reports.

The playmaker has been linked with an exit after a disappointing campaign, with Manchester United among the teams believed to be interested.

Radiosei reports that in the next few days Lazio directors will meet the Argentine’s agent Enzo Montepaone.

The meeting will be used to confirm the future of the Aquile captain and the capital club are ready to tempt him to stay with a €3m per year deal.

The meeting will be used to confirm the future of the Aquile captain and the capital club are ready to tempt him to stay with a €3m per year deal.

This would make him the highest paid player in the squad and the Lazio hierarchy want to know whether he will stay or go by the end of the month.

The 30-year-old scored four goals and provided three assists in 27 Serie A appearances this season.
