Milan’s 2-1 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday evening was attended by Real Betis sporting director Ramon Planes, as talks over a move to San Siro for left-back Juan Miranda continue.

It must be noted, however, that Planes’s presence in Milan this week was not part of any official talks for Miranda, although recent reports suggest it is likely his name will have cropped up in conversations.

In fact, according to information from Calciomercato.com, Planes and Betis were probably more interested in Tuesday’s visitors, as the Andalusians are reportedly looking at a number of PSG players who could become available in the January transfer window.

Milan, meanwhile, are still hopeful of bringing Miranda over to Serie A before the beginning of the 2024-25 season. The 23-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current season.

The Rossoneri would like, if possible, to sign Miranda in January to provide a much-needed alternative option to current left-back Theo Hernandez according to Calciomercato.

Betis and coach Manuel Pellegrini would not like to part ways with an important first-team member mid-way through the campaign.

Still, Milan are pushing, and are reportedly prepared to offer a five-year contract worth an estimated €2m per season in wages.
