Fiorentina welcome the English side to Artemio Franchi tomorrow in the first leg of their Europa League Last 32 tie.

“We started from Moena [the pre-season training camp] together and if we’ve got to this point it means we deserve it,” Bernardeschi explained in the pre-match Press conference alongside Coach Paulo Sousa.

“We have to fight to progress in Europe. They have great players, with a strong and deep squad. It’ll be a tough game, but we’ll give our all to get a result.

“It’s a very important match, definitely one of the most important of my career, but I’m sure there will be more.

“I’ve been here for 12 years, I really feel a sense of belonging to Florence. It’s something I feel inside that I’ll always carry with me.

“I’m 22, I have several years ahead of me. The important thing is to stay healthy and do well.”
