Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani could reportedly complete a takeover of Monza by the end of this month.

It was revealed this week that the former Milan owner and his right hand man were interested in buying the Serie C side, and Galliani confirmed negotiations yesterday.

Current owner Nicolo Colombo is the son of Felice Colombo, who was Rossoneri President from 1977 to 1980.

According to various reports in this morning’s newspapers, a takeover could be completed by the end of the month.

In their 106 year history, Monza have never managed to reach Serie A, but the purchase makes sense as Galliani was born in the city and Berlusconi lives in nearby Arcore.
