The wide attacker, still just 19, caught the eye in Serie A at the weekend with a hat-trick against Sampdoria.
That has led to some suggestions that the Italian, who is co-owned by Juventus, could move on during the winter.
“I don’t think that he could abandon Sassuolo in January,” Beppe Galli noted. “It would be better for his development to continue working with his present club for the whole season.”
Berardi is considered as a potential star of the future after his stand-out campaign in Serie B last season. His feat on Sunday has confirmed as much.
“The compliments are nice, but let us not raise the bar too high. We are happy with the goals and getting a hat-trick is never easy, but now comes the difficult part.
“If he doesn’t score for a few games then people will start talking of a crisis…”
Berardi was snapped up by Juventus on deadline day for €4.5m as part of the deal that saw Luca Marrone co-signed by the newly promoted club for the same fee.
“Juventus? They were the quickest to target him, but we have to keep our feet on the ground.”
