Some players have already flown out to Sardinia to start work for the Nations League Final Four semi-final against Spain, but Domenico Berardi and Matteo Pessina are injured.

The match will be played in Enschede on June 15 and the winners will go on to face either the Netherlands or Croatia for the trophy.

Coach Roberto Mancini will name his squad this evening and there is going to be a staggered group, as Inter are still preparing for the Champions League Final against Manchester City on June 10 and can only fly out after that.

Several of the players are already in Sardinia, where the Italy squad has taken over an entire Forte Village in Santa Margherita di Pula, where the stars can train and then spend time with their families.

However, Sassuolo captain Berardi and Monza midfielder Pessina were forced to pull out of the squad after both were suffering from flexor issues.

Nicolò Zaniolo was the last to arrive after scoring two goals for Galatasaray in last night’s win over Fenerbahce.
