The Coach took to his personal website to write a blog on the many Napoli players currently taking part in the World Cup.
These include Juan Camilo Zuniga, who played 90 minutes for the first time in many months as Colombia beat Greece 3-0.
“With regards to Zuniga and his position on the wing, director Riccardo Bigon and I were surprised by the lack of logic applied to news about our transfers,” wrote Benitez.
“Currently we are not searching for a right-back because we already have three or four players who can cover that position.
“Similarly, we aren’t looking for centre-backs, as with the arrival of Koulibaly we have five alternatives in that role.
“Nor are we on the look-out for a goalkeeper. I speak to Rafael daily to keep up with his recovery progress. Andujar and Colombo are reliable defenders of our goal.
“Therefore, I’d ask for a little precision when people name players to take our fans off course.”
The reports are continuing that Napoli are in talks to bring Pepe Reina back after his loan spell from Liverpool.
Rafael Cabral was second choice to Reina, but suffered a serious knee injury.
