Benevento have reportedly tried and failed to sign former Arsenal midfielders Alex Song and Samir Nasri.
According to Sky Sport Italia, Benevento opened talks to reunite new boy Bacary Sagna with his ex-Arsenal teammates.
However, the broadcaster notes “negotiations for the two players were unsuccessful,” leaving them as free agents.
Song was recently released by Russian side Rubin Kazan, while Nasri is unattached after leaving Turkish outfit Antalyaspor last month.
