Valon Behrami has admitted that Fiorentina's primary target for this season is to avoid relegation to Serie B.
Having become accustomed to finishing in the top four and making progress in the Champions League, the Viola fans are facing a new reality this term.
"The objective, for now, is survival," said the January signing from West Ham. "Once that is secured then we have to start improving.
"At the present time that is the target and whoever speaks about other aims is mistaken," he continued.

"I know that it is a sad thing to say about a team like Fiorentina, but that is the way it is at the moment."
Fiorentina are currently 11th in the standings, 10 points clear of the drop zone with a trip to Bari coming up this weekend.
The Viola, bossed by Sinisa Mihajlovic, have struggled for consistency even if they have only lost two of their last 10 League games.
