“When a player joins the national team is always something to be proud about. Bastoni has been improving and it’s fair to consider a different economic relationship as we trust the player,” Marotta said before Inter-Torino.
“Both parties want [to extend the contract], who is in charge of it is working [on a new deal],” Bastoni told DAZN after the game.
“Our approach was wrong,” he continued.
“The national team break may have had an impact as most of us played three games, surely we can’t play first half like this one ever again.
“I am still young but it’s not an excuse, I want to do well day by day, I try to do my best, I know I can improve.”
