Atalanta sporting director Pierpaolo Marino has claimed that any team wanting to buy Daniele Baselli will have to pay €12m.

The 21-year-old is seen as one of the brightest prospects in Italian football, and reports this month have claimed that Napoli could well be interested in his services.

But the Dea director has insisted that clubs will have to pay eight figures for the youngster.

“Maybe we’ll make a move in the market, but in principle we don’t need anyone new,” he told L’Ora della Calabria.

“I don’t like to talk about specific numbers, but if anyone wants Baselli they’ll have to pay over €10m, maybe somewhere around €12m.”

Marino then commented on rumours of German Denis’ departure.

“We have resisted many bids from foreign teams for Denis. We’re not going to start now.”
