Atalanta striker Musa Barrow is on the verge of a €15m transfer to Bologna, beating competition from Torino.

The 21-year-old Gambia international is just the latest talent to emerge from the youth academy in Bergamo and he has made 52 competitive appearances for the senior squad, scoring eight goals with five assists.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, a deal could be struck this weekend, with the offer from Bologna at €12m plus another €3m in add-ons.

The two clubs are due to meet today to work out the final details, meaning Torino’s attempts to enter the fray will be too late.

Atalanta would prefer an immediate transfer, whereas Bologna are hoping for a loan with obligation to buy, so they can spread out the payments.
