Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone says that president Rocco Commisso has “already spent €300m" on the club, following the closure of the January transfer window.
The Viola were one of the busiest clubs in January, signing the likes of Patrick Cutrone, Duncan, Igor and Kevin Agudelo, whilst securing Christian Kouame and Amrabat for next season.
CEO Barone spoke to website Fiorentinanews.com on the progress of the club.
“As Daniele [Prade] has already said, Rocco [Commisso] has already spent €300m on Fiorentina,” said Barone.

“In this market Daniele’s vision is very important, and the work he has done to complete the staff, it’s a very important job.
“Now Fiorentina must get some results, finish this season well and prepare the team for the future.
The Viola signed long-term Napoli target Sofyan Amrabat on deadline day, and Barone says they’ve been following the player since Fiorentina met Verona earlier in the season.
“Since we played against Verona, Rocco has followed every game that Verona played, I know he is a player for next season, it was a very complicated situation but we managed to bring him to Fiorentina, and that’s important.
“Beppe Iachini is doing an excellent job with the team, and now it will be a positive end to the season.”
