Cagliari President Tommaso Giulini doubts Nicolo Barella will sign for Juventus, even if he were to leave the Sardi.

The Old Lady were strongly linked with the young midfielder during the January transfer window, but a move did not come to pass.

It has been suggested in some quarters that the deal could now take place in the summer, but Giulini is convinced it will not happen.

“He isn’t a Juventus player,” the owner told local newspaper l’Unione Sarda.

It has been suggested in some quarters that the deal could now take place in the summer, but Giulini is convinced it will not happen.

“He isn’t a Juventus player,” the owner told local newspaper l’Unione Sarda.

“He is a Cagliari player for the next season and I really don’t think he will go to Juventus even if he has to change team.”

Guilini has been President of the Rossoblu since 2014, when he bought the club from Massimo Cellino.

And he insists he has no regrets about his decision.

“No. Absolutely not, I am enthusiastic.”

Giulini also insisted he is not worried by the lack of goals scored by Leonardo Pavoletti.

“I don’t regret the arrival of Pavoletti either. He is a great boy and is giving everything on the pitch.

“I am sure that the goals will come.”
