It’s reported Luigi Di Biagio will recall Mario Balotelli to the Italy squad for the March friendlies, as well as Gianluigi Buffon.
The Under-21 Coach has been appointed as interim CT, and will take charge when the Azzurri take on Argentina and England.
According to this morning’s Corriere dello Sport, Di Biagio will recall Nice striker Balotelli for the games, close to four years after his last cap.

It’s also expected that Buffon and Giorgio Chiellini will be called for the game, though that will be more to attain some continuity than a plan going forward.
Given he’s the Under-21 boss, Di Biagio will also call some of the stars who have played under him for the Azzurrini.
Gigio Donnarumma, Daniele Rugani, Alessio Romagnoli, Roberto Gagliardini and Federico Bernardeschi are all expected to be called, as well as Davide Calabria, Manuel Locatelli and Patrick Cutrone.
