The two players, injuries permitting, will most likely be part of Cesare Prandelli’s World Cup squad this summer and the 29-year-old is hopeful his international teammate can deliver.
“Mario Balotelli is undoubtedly the greatest talent in Italian football,” Chiellini said to Goal.
“His career so far has had its ups and downs, but let’s hope that at the World Cup he will lead his team in the way that all fans want.”
