The Manchester City hitman pulled up during yesterday’s session with a problem in his right knee, which has already undergone surgery in the past.

Balotelli was expected to be ruled out of the final Group C match on Monday evening, but took part in this morning’s session.

He is still awaiting test results on the knee, but seems to have shaken off the knock.

Nonetheless, Antonio Di Natale remains the favourite to start alongside Antonio Cassano in a must-win game.

There are reports Cesare Prandelli could revamp the Azzurri with a return to the 4-3-1-2 system.
