Mario Balotelli will not join Vasco da Gama or Burnley, but begin training with Silvio Berlusconi’s Serie B side Monza, claim Sky Sport Italia.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, a decision has been made and Balotelli will join the team from Monday.

Monza are owned by former Milan President Silvio Berlusconi, who had famously called SuperMario a ‘bad apple’ in the Rossoneri squad.

It is something of an ex-Milan hotspot, including coach Cristian Brocchi and players like Kevin-Prince Boateng.

It is due to be a six-month contract for the 30-year-old striker, who is a free agent after the end of his brief spell with Brescia.
