Brescia are back in Serie A after an eight-year absence, although they open the new season against Cagliari on Sunday without six first-team players, including Balotelli.

“Of course we’d have liked to start off in Serie A differently,” Corini said at a Press conference.

“We’re paying a bit for extra time in the Coppa Italia, but we must be able to face these difficulties.

“We have great enthusiasm and we’ll stick with our style of play, even if we have several absences, although we could make slight tactical changes.

“We know we’ll have to suffer, not only at Cagliari but also throughout the season.”

The Italy hitman will not be able to make his Rondinelle bow until next month due to still having four games left on his ban…

“Balotelli has plenty of motivation. Now we must and want to bring some normality to the situation.”
