The Milan forward is expected to lead Italy’s attack during their upcoming campaign in Brazil and the Azzurri tactician has today praised his player’s attitude in training.

Speaking at a Press conference, the former Fiorentina” data-scaytid=”6″>Fiorentina boss also said that if other players in his squad show the same determination that Balotelli does, Italy will have a better chance of doing well in the tournament.

“I expect him [Balotelli] to have the consistency he has shown during these recent days,” Prandelli said. “He has maximum concentration and a great attention to detail.

“If all the players manage to have this consistency, together we can think about being stronger.

“He shouldn’t think about solving all the national team’s problems, or to take them on his shoulders. He needs to do his job.

“If he does it with determination, then that is a lot.”

Prandelli was then asked about another of his young players, Marco Veratti, and said that everyone in the squad would need to play their part in the Azzurri’s World Cup effort.

“Everyone needs to be a resource, but Marco is interpreting what we have asked – to not give precise references and to add consistency to the quality of our game.

“To do this, we must improve the depth of our attack. All of us must think about seeing a team capable of changing and doing something different.

“We are not a team who can play a match by only basing ourselves on individuality. We need to become a team.”
