Davide Ballardini doesn't trust Lecce to continue their crisis when Genoa visit the Via del Mare. “The statistics say watch out for them on home turf.”

Coach Gigi De Canio tended his resignation after a second consecutive Serie A defeat last week, but it was rejected so he is still in charge for this crunch match.

“We need to be careful, as every game is important and we must remember Lecce have earned 11 of their 12 points at the Via del Mare,” noted Genoa boss Ballardini.

“They only lost once and that was 3-2 after they'd fought back from 2-0 down to equalise. The statistics say watch out for them on home turf.”

The Rossoblu were held to a 0-0 draw under the snow in Brescia last week, but welcome back Raffaele Palladino from a long-term injury and Rafinha's ban has expired.

“Palladino is in good shape and should start, while Bosko Jankovic is also improving. Rodrigo Palacio and Omar Milanetto won't be there, though.

“Our plan is to see Palladino and Houssine Kharja supporting Luca Toni. Miguel Veloso could well replace Milanetto in midfield with his characteristics.”
